the love story

Josh and I met at a christian summer camp when I was 13, and a few months after camp my family started going to his church, The Freedom Center not knowing it was where he attended. Little did I know.. he went there, and his dad was the pastor. We ended up making The Freedom Center our new church home, and about 3 years later, we were both signed up to go on a missions trip to Europe. We were also both put in charge of leading worship together... so we were pretty much forced to get to know each other. Lets just say, when we got to Europe, I think we did a little more flirting than serving {ha}... we went to Brussels, Belgium, Germany, and Paris. How can you not fall in love with someone when you're in these beautiful cities? You can't.. so we fell in love. We traveled Belgium together, worshiped God together, ate really good food together, climbed the Eiffel Tower together, and toured on a bus top all over Paris. After the Europe trip, Josh decided that we should wait 6 months before considering dating, and when that day came and we still liked each other, we would date. 6 months later, Josh asked my Dad if he could date me, and he said yes :) We've been dating ever since! And here's the big shocker that everyone freaks out about.. we also waited a year from that day until we kissed. Josh said that he always promised that he would only kiss the girl he was going to marry... and I just about died when I heard him say that :) Our relationship is centered around our relationships with God. We strive to honor God through our relationship, and because of that I believe we have a wonderful relationship with each other. Our dating relationship seems to attract other couples or people for what they desire in a relationship which blesses me so much because it's not us they are admiring, it's God! :) So, here we are today, and I love him more than I did four years ago in Paris.
